MealMuse ("the App") helps you generate recipes using AI.

Summary

• You type recipe prompts (or dictate them) and the App sends your request to our backend service to generate a recipe.
• We do not sell your personal data.
• The App does not require an account.

Data We Collect

1) User content you provide

• Recipe prompts / text input you enter in the App.
• If you use voice input, the App converts speech to text on-device using Apple’s speech features; the resulting text is treated like any prompt.

2) Optional media

• The App may request access to your camera/photo library for ingredient-photo features. If you choose to use an image-based feature in the future, the selected image may be sent to our backend for analysis.

3) Technical data

• Basic operational logs may be collected by our backend hosting provider (e.g., request timing, error logs). We avoid logging secrets.

How We Use Data

• Generate recipes and return results to you.
• Prevent abuse and keep the service reliable (e.g., rate limiting).
• Debug issues and improve the service.

Sharing of Data

AI Provider

Your prompt text is sent from our backend to a third-party AI provider to generate the recipe. The provider’s handling of data is governed by their terms and policies.

Service Providers

We use hosting and database providers to operate the backend. They process data on our behalf to provide infrastructure.

Data Retention

• We aim to keep data only as long as needed to provide the service and operate it reliably.
• Some prompts/responses may be cached temporarily to improve performance and reduce repeated AI calls.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect data in transit and at rest. No system is 100% secure.

Children’s Privacy

MealMuse is not intended for children under 13.

Your Choices

• You can choose not to use voice or camera/photo features.
• You can stop using the App at any time.
